It is quite common to hear successful sportspeople, who are in what looks like a singular sport (tennis, cycling, running, boxing etc) to say “we” won the medal/competition. They know that without their team around them they could not have achieved this greatness. These winners can often stand outside themselves, looking at themselves as a project, fueling, training, resting, developing their body and mind to get into the best shape it can be to deliver the result.
